Bullemia

People with bulimia tend to alternate between eating excessive amounts of food (bingeing), and making themselves sick, or using laxatives (purging), in order to maintain a chosen weight. This is usually done in secret. People with bulimia purge themselves because they feel guilty about the binge eating, but the bingeing is a compulsive act that they feel they cannot control. Bulimia can affect both men and women but, statistically, women are 10 times more likely to develop bulimia than men. However, bulimia is becoming more common in boys and men. Recent studies suggest that around eight in every 100 women will have bulimia at some point in their lives. The condition can occur at any age but it often starts around the age of 19. Bulimia can affect children, but this is extremely rare. From this I find that girls may be bulimic because of peer pressure, and also the fact that girls have the mentality that " If I look thin I will get a better job" but this is not always the case I know people who have a little weight do get jobs. Nowadays there are over 16 sized models and this will improve. I think there is help for people who are bulimic, but I think the only thing that needs to change is attittudes. When people do this it is quite hard to see, I find it so hard when I see people be sick, I say enjoy food, if you do want loose weight always do it the safer way, the more sufficient way....

I have found this website and it is a chubby women who is a proffesional model, so it just shows that you do not have to be thin to be priviledged.
